You manage its DNS records yourself, in <strong>Host Records<\/strong> in your Yegara dashboard. The domain only opens your website when it has an A record that points to your hosting server.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><thead><tr><th>Name<\/th><th>Type<\/th><th>Value<\/th><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td>@<\/td><td>A<\/td><td>The IP address of your hosting server<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>www<\/td><td>CNAME<\/td><td>Your domain, for example yourname.pro.et (optional, makes the www address work)<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Step 1.<\/strong> If there is already a row with the name <code>@<\/code> and the type <strong>A<\/strong>, change its value. If there is none, click <strong>ADD NEW RECORD<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Step 2.<\/strong> Type <code>@<\/code> as the name, choose <strong>A<\/strong> as the type, and enter the IP address of your hosting server as the value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Step 3.<\/strong> Click <strong>UPDATE HOST RECORDS<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-accent-4-background-color has-background wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udcd8 <strong>Which IP address?<\/strong><br><br>Use the IP address of the server your own hosting account is on. It is in your welcome email (&#8220;Your New Account Information&#8221;). Do not copy an IP address from another website or another account. If you are not sure, message us on <a href=\"https:\/\/yegara.com\/telegram\">Telegram<\/a> with your domain name and we will set the record for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"point-the-domain-to-vercel-or-another-host\">Point the domain to Vercel or another host<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can also use your .pro.et domain for a site that is hosted somewhere else, such as Vercel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Add your domain in that service. When it asks how to connect the domain, choose the option that gives you <strong>DNS records<\/strong>, not nameservers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In Host Records, add each record exactly as the service shows it: usually an <strong>A<\/strong> record for <code>@<\/code> and a <strong>CNAME<\/strong> record for <code>www<\/code>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If the service asks you to verify the domain, add the <strong>TXT<\/strong> record it gives you. For Vercel the name is <code>_vercel<\/code>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>UPDATE HOST RECORDS<\/strong>, then go back to the service and click its verify button.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A domain can point to one place at a time. Once the A record points to another host, the site on your free Yegara hosting no longer opens through the domain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"save-and-wait\">Save and wait<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Nothing is saved until you click <strong>UPDATE HOST RECORDS<\/strong>. Reload the page afterwards and check that your record is still there.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A change can take from 5 minutes up to 48 hours to work everywhere.
