In this article, we\u2019ll describe in detail how to work with Node.js apps and help you host your first basic \u201chello world\u201d node.js application in Our Standard Hosting Package<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To set up a Node.js application using cPanel, use the following procedures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step #1:  Create the application for NODE.JS<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

1:<\/strong> In the SOFTWARE section of cPanel, click the Setup Node.js App icon to open the Node.js selector:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2:<\/strong> On the Node.js selector page, click CREATE APPLICATION to start the application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3:<\/strong> Fill in the fields on the application setup form and click CREATE<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The application starts automatically. To view a test page for the application, click OPEN<\/strong> or the application url you set above ( example.com\/app )<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You should see the It Works!<\/strong> message appear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now that a working application is installed, you can enhance the environment with the package.json<\/em> settings file. To do this, follow the next two procedures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step #2: Create the package.json file<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To create the package.json<\/em> file, follow these steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1:<\/strong> Open File manager<\/strong> In your cPanel <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2: Go to the root of the application folder you just created and Click +File<\/strong> to create a new file named package.json<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
