You ordered a .dev domain, paid for it, and it still does not open. In most cases nothing is wrong. A .dev domain is activated differently from a .com, and it takes longer. Here is what is happening and what to check.
📘 The short answer
A .dev domain cannot be registered automatically. After your payment is confirmed, our team has to activate it by hand. Until that is done the domain does not work. You do not need to do anything.

Why a .dev takes longer than a .com

A .com domain goes through our system on its own. A .dev domain needs an extra manual step from our side before it can be activated, so it cannot be ready in 10 minutes. While it waits, your order shows as pending and the domain does not open anywhere.
What to do while you wait
- Make sure your payment is confirmed. Paying at the bank is not enough: you also submit the transaction number on the invoice page. Nothing starts before that. See How to Confirm Your Payment.
- Do not order the domain again. A second order does not make it faster and leaves you with two invoices.

After it is activated
Once our team has activated the domain, it still needs the usual time to reach the whole internet, from 5 minutes up to 48 hours. It can open on mobile data before it opens on your office connection. You can follow it on dnschecker.org. See How Long Does Domain Propagation Take?
Activated, but the website still does not open
- The SSL certificate is not issued yet. A .dev website only opens over
https://. Without a certificate it does not open at all, and there is no “Not secure” warning to click through as there is with a .com. The certificate can only be issued after the domain points to your hosting. Then issue it from your control panel: see SSL and HTTPS. - You ordered the domain only. A domain without hosting has no website to show. Add hosting at yegara.com/host and choose Use My Own Domain, or point the domain to the place where your site is hosted.
- You see a “Coming Soon” page. The domain works. That is the default page of a new hosting account, and it goes away when you upload your site.
